Profilex makes all wooden frames on location. We start with raw timber which is specially selected and certified to control and insure quality at every part of the production. The wood is selected on suitability for use, beauty and sustainable production.
Examples of the kinds of wood we use for frame production are: maple, cherry, walnut, oak, ash, beech and yellow poplar. Due to our production method we can guarantee an outstanding product. An example of this is the reinforced frame corners, in use since 1990, which we make by applying splined joints.
In our spray-painting booth we finish the frames in any possible colour.
The backboard of a frame has a decisive influence on the frames construction, conservation abilities and user-friendliness. Through the years we have developed a strong, lightweight and detachable backing with subframe hanging system that fits perfectly to every framing.
